DETERMINATION OF PHENOLS BY LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY WITH ELECTROCHEMICAL AND UV DETECTION

An analytical method has been developed for the determination of 15 phenols in water, using HPLC and both electrochemical and UV detection. The elution was carried out with the mobile phase 1 % aqueous acetic acid- acetonitrile (66 : 34). The preconcentration was achieved by liquid-liquid extraction. Performance of the LC system was checked. Linearity of the detector response and detection limit without concentration were determined.
